Which
moisturizer is suitable for me?

It is a whole new type of struggle, NO?? Well, I guess it’s less of a struggle than finding THE DRESS whenever an event comes up, even if you are full of clothes. You are here because either you are struggling to find the right moisturizer or you are hesitant to trust one. Loooool, I was the second one when I had to give it a search.

Getting straight to the point!

BBG know your skin type fiiiiiiiirst! You can analyze your skin type here. If you are oily or combination, go for a light-textured moisturizer, and if you are dry, go for a thicker one which will give you more HYDRATION and NOURISHMENT.

That was what you needed to know in short. Other than texture, you need to see things like broad-spectrum SPF protection and anti-aging benefits. SPF protection is a MUST for daytime creams, and anti-aging properties are for day and evening use. Do look for ingredients such as antioxidants.

If you purchase a moisturizer with SPF, I would recommend getting separate creams: one for morning and the other for the evening.

In general, a morning cream should focus on protection (from the environment, from UV), and an evening cream should focus on repair (beauty sleep, think antioxidants and other regenerative ingredients).

Moisturizers need to be changed according to the change in season or even if you are changing or shifting your location. Back in the winter, when I hibernated at my grandma’s, I learned about it more, seeing how bad my skin turned until I walked to my aunt’s place and tried her moisturizer. THAT WAS A REAL LIFE-SAVING MOMENT FOR ME! So yeah, you better keep in mind that in different seasons and when you move through locations, YOU BETTER GET A MOISTURIZER THAT IS SUITABLE FOR THAT SPECIFIC THINGY!

Skin changes! So should your moisturizer and other skincare products too. Long story short, the product that worked for you in your 20s will not work in your 30s or 50s. As we age, our skin’s natural sebum production will slow, which will mean skin will get drier.

Lastly, don’t you dare forget the rule of product layering (Thin to thick): Moisturizer over serum, under your makeup! And besties, apply your moisturizer from the clavicle or collarbone to the forehead, always moving upwards, against gravity. Always remember, your face does not end at your chin, but rather mid-chest. YOU DON’T WANT YOUR BODY TO SHINE ANY LESS THAN YOUR FACE!

SHINE LIKE THE STAR YOU ARE, MY LOVELIES! LOVA YA!
